The short version
We use your information to provide Mocha and RecNet. We do not sell your personal information. Public profile details and content you choose to share can be seen by other players.
Information we collect
The information collected depends on which parts of Mocha you use.
- Account information: your account ID, username, display name, linked platform and platform ID, password credentials, email address if you add one, profile image, banner, bio, level, balance, roles, and account settings.
- Gameplay and social activity: rooms and instances you join, presence, friends, messages, invites, cheers, gifts, subscriptions, events, progression, and moderation activity.
- Content you provide: photos, comments, rooms, inventions, profile text, reports, and other content you upload or create.
- Technical information: connection details, device or platform identifiers provided by the game client, request times, error details, and server logs used to operate and secure the service.
How we use information
We use this information to:
- create and maintain your account;
- connect you to rooms, friends, messages, invites, and other game features;
- display your public profile and content on RecNet and in game;
- save progression, purchases, preferences, and room data;
- detect abuse, investigate reports, enforce community rules, and protect players;
- diagnose errors and improve reliability.
Storage, retention, and security
Information is kept for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate Mocha, resolve disputes, enforce rules, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Some logs and moderation records may remain after account deletion when they are needed for safety or integrity.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect stored information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so use a unique password and do not share it with anyone.
Junior accounts
Mocha may support junior accounts and junior-friendly rooms. Junior accounts may receive restricted communication and social features. A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s use of the service and contact server staff if they need help with the child’s information.
Your choices
You can update most profile information from RecNet Settings. You can also delete your account there. Account deletion is permanent and removes the active server account, although limited safety, moderation, or backup records may remain where necessary.
You may ask server staff to help you access, correct, or remove your information. Some requests may require verification that you own the account.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Mocha changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be changed when a new version is published. Material changes may also be announced through RecNet or an in-game notice.
Contact
For privacy questions or account-data requests, contact a Mocha administrator through the community’s official support channel. Include your account ID, but never send your password.
